Following from existing contracts in Bristol, Trowbridge and Portsmouth, Igneous Works (GT) have been asked to bring their concept of life cycle transformations to bathroom and ensuite refurbishments.
“This seemed like a natural progression of the excellent partnership we have had with Igneous Works (GT) over the years and brings their expertise and quality workmanship into delivering not only an economic but low maintenance solution to refurbishing bathrooms” Malcolm Saxby, Tricomm
Using our unique engineered stone, made to measure panels are prefabricated offsite in one of our factories. These custom panels are then installed over the top of the existing tiling, creating a perfect fit. This reduces not only waste into landfill but also, and more significantly, the amount of work on site and the need for multiple trades. No need for costly repairs to stud walls, or replastering, the job is simplified so that each refurbishment is completed within one day!
All the surfaces around the bathroom and shower are made from non-porous surfaces, often in single panels. Unlike tiling, they have no grout and no beading, which means that they are far more hygienic since there are no rough surfaces or edges for grime, mould or staining to build-up on. Additionally, our surfaces uniquely have Microban® built in giving them antimicrobial protection, killing 99% of bacteria, viruses and mould protection.
The large panels means that there is no danger of grout cracking and falling out, no tiles coming lose and greatly reduced opportunity of water ingress leading to low maintenance and upkeeps costs whilst providing an enhanced and superior quality and finish to the bathroom.
“The quality of the finish really transforms the look and feel of the bathroom, and our feedback from the DIO and tenants has been exceptional” Malcolm Saxby, Tricomm
Our stone is made from recycled materials with up-to 78% recycled elements, whether it be quarry waste, recycled ceramic factory seconds, or recycled bottles from our glass based products, we prove that you can be good to the environment and still deliver a fantastic finish.
Initially programmed for void properties as part of the life cycle replenishment programme, such has been the success of the contract to date that it is now being done in occupied properties when required as it is less intrusive and disruptive to the tenant and delivers a quicker and superior solution.
