Igneous Works (GT) is delighted to announce the opening of our new workshop and depot in Exeter. The facility, is the latest step in our efforts to lead the way in the application of sustainable production procedures and installations. With this new base, close to key contracts in Plymouth and the South-west; the Exeter location represents our commitment to our customers.
Equipped with our own specially designed cutting machines, Exeter significantly grows our offsite fabrication capacity to deliver for a fast-growing customer base. Experienced installations teams accompany the new facility so that we are closer to our key contracts.
With our in-house team of operatives and our own production facilities we have not only an increased capability to operate effectively and efficiently but also to expand our service offering. From initial survey, to production, delivery and installation we control the project end-to-end, simplifying the supply chain by reducing the number of participants, minimising co-ordination complication and maximising quality and speed of delivery.
The facility in Exeter is ultimately an exercise in maximising efficiency to drive a quicker production process, reducing transportation costs, meaning more of the budget is allocated to production materials rather than on-site labour. Since everything is done in-house, we can template a location, transport those templates into pre-fabrication, and begin the fabrication process quickly.
“It also means that we can speed up the turnaround process, often templating and starting production the next day after a property becomes void” Matthew Bird, Igneous Works (GT)
And because our factory is closer to the install, we can ensure that we maximise production off-site. The installation is the most difficult stage, and we know this. That's why we get as much done beforehand as possible.
“In traditional housing installations, the house and home is turned into the construction site. With our methodology, the majority of production, cutting, edging, is done off-site. This is both more efficient and creates less mess and disruption in the home” Matthew Bird, Igneous Works (GT)
Our proven practices means less labour cost allowing for not only quicker installations but prioritising spend on the quality of the materials to provide for a better performing kitchen and bathroom, extending the life of the installation through our low maintenance products.
